LOCATION
Birubi St George Alpine Club is located on Ben Lomond, Tasmania's second highest mountain peak. Ben Lomond National Park is about an hour south-east of Launceston. Take the C401 through White Hills then turn right at Blessington onto Ben Lomond Road (C413).

The park boundary is 8 km from the Ben Lomond Road turn-off, and a further 18 km to the alpine village. The road is unsealed, so take it slow and enjoy the scenery.

The final climb is the spectacular ascent of Jacob's Ladder.
This is quite possibly the most hair-raising and impressive alpine road in Tasmania. A series of switchbacks on the famous road creates a spectacular journey to a breathtaking destination.
The top of Jacob's Ladder gives way to several kilometres of gravel road along a long plateau, which finishes at a large car park. You'll need to leave your car here and venture the rest of the way on foot.

You'll find our lodge in Ben Lomond village - the third lodge on your right as you walk up the street, about 150m from the carpark boom gate.
